Florida Food Products, Inc. (FFP), a leading manufacturer of healthy, naturally sourced plant-based food and beverage ingredient solutions, is seeking a reliable Roasting & Grinding Operator for both 1st and 2nd shift operations. This position will play a critical role in FFP's manufacturing process by operating and maintaining production equipment to roast and grind a variety of ingredients, ensuring that all products meet or exceed quality standards. Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain roasting and grinding equipment to ensure efficient and consistent production
  • Perform quality checks on raw materials and finished products
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Record and maintain production data and reports
  • Continuously improve processes and equipment to increase efficiency and reduce waste
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding any issues or concerns
  • Other duties as assigned by management
  • Inventory of Green beans
  • Calculation of batch weights
  • Adjustment of roast times
  • Achieve consistent roast profiles

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment, specifically as a Roasting & Grinding Operator, preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and procedures
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a hot, noisy environment.
  • Comfort with using basic math calculations and computer software.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays when necessary.
  • Good time management
