Sigma Defense is seeking Project Analyst to support our ADNS team in San Diego, CA USA both remotely and on-site. A Secret clearance will be sponsored for the right candidate.

The Automated Digital Network System (ADNS) is an Acquisition Category II spiral development program that incorporates and adapts a variety of Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Government-Off-the-Shelf hardware and software. ADNS is the Tactical Internet Protocol (IP) Routing and Switching system for all Wide Area Network IP Services which connect afloat units to the various global shore sites. It provides ship and shore IP connectivity and promotes the efficient use of available satellite and line of site communications bandwidth. SOLUTE, a Sigma Defense Company is seeking a self-directed and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Network Engineer, to help engage in converging all voice, video, data communications between ship and shore. The primary duties and responsibilities for this position, minimum required skills, and additional requested qualifications and experience are listed below.

Requirements

  • 2 - 3 years of experience in DoD or other Government Unclassified and Classified: Project Management, Project Control, Project Analyst, Administrative Support, or Administrative Specialist.
  • 1 - 3 years of experience supporting Engineering Working groups or DoD Engineering Projects/Programs.
  • 2 - 4 years of experience project coordinating or project management.
  • 2 - 4 years of experience budgeting, scheduling, and reporting.
  • An understanding of project management ethics.
  • An understanding of resource, scope and risk management ethics.
  • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision on assigned tasks.
  • Effective communication, writing, reporting and documenting skills.
  • Effective problem solver.
  • Interest in supporting US Navy programs and Department of Defense Modernization efforts.

Personnel Clearance Level:

  • Candidate must possess or be able to obtain an active, DoD-issued Secret security clearance.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from a university or accredited college in Business Administration, Business Management, Accounting, Finance, English, or Mathematics.

Preferred Certifications:

  • CompTIA Network+ or CompTIA Security+

Computer Programs/Software Experience:

  • NMCI
  • RDT&E
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Adobe Acrobat Pro

Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):

  • Individual to report to the Director of Program Operations and working alongside other Program /Project Managers as well as Junior to Senior Engineers.
  • Support the overall project lifecycle from a budgeting, staffing and deliverable perspective.
  • Support various Engineering working groups to enhance and refine correspondence, scheduling, filing, and documentation.
  • Support various Engineering working Groups to oversee maintenance, security, and operations of company and Government assets.
  • Support overall Program Management Leadership with Project control budgeting, planning, and risk management ethics.
  • Individual to be responsible for coordinating and managing all data clerk entries with updated information regarding various projects and personnel.
  • Responsible for providing high level support during customer meetings or presentations.
  • Support overall Program Management with Technical Resource Management.
  • Support overall Program Management with Technical Risk Management.
  • Support overall Program Management with Technical Scope Management.
  • Individual to have large interest in working alongside Engineering working groups in support of Afloat, Ashore and Airborne Naval end users.
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly project reporting and presentations.
  • Individual to have strong interest in information Technology, Science and Technology and/or Software and Hardware Department of Defense Modernization projects.
  • Assist with development and modernization of Government Networks via Software defined capability or similar engineering integrations.
  • Support improvement of WAN/LAN posture be leading Architecture research and design in support of current and future Naval requirements.
  • Act as liaison with local and Chief Engineers on testing and integration plans via Naval Fleet requirements.
  • Ability to work well with other Engineering focus groups and personnel ranging from Junior to Chief Network, Systems, Software and Cyber Security Engineers.

Salary Range: $55,000 - $72,000 annually.
