Project Planner - Quality & Vendor Surveillance


Air Products Membrane Solutions offers Engineered-to-Order membrane systems for high flow industrial applications. Ideal for the oil and gas industry, ammonia plants, chemical manufacturing facilities, and oil refineries, these fully customized systems are the result of collaborating with end-users, licensors, and EPC firms.

Quality & Vendor Surveillance is part of Membrane Solutions Engineering Group and reports to Manager ETO Project Department, Norway.


Responsibilities


Project Planner is responsible for establishing quality plan and vendor surveillance plan for multiple Engineered to Order projects, both Process Gas Systems (ETO-PGS) and Nitrogen Systems (ETO-N2).
Development of plans and follow up as per Air Products and project specific requirements.

Duties include:

Ensure that the companys Health, Safety and Environment standards and practice are supported in all ETO projects, including employees, customers, and vendors.
Plan resources and participate as required for onsite and remote inspections at suppliers in the area for different activities; PPM (pre-production meeting), welding, NDT, surface treatment, MC, FAT, FI, etc.
Maintain up-to-date understanding of product requirements and communicate quality requirements and initiatives.
Recognize impact of decision on product quality.
Collaborate internally with QC responsible and externally with clients and suppliers, regionally and globally when required, up to 20% travel expected.
As a member of the project team, participate in project executions and continues improvements of work processes.
Participate in overall project risk assessments prior to firm bid issues.
Participate in lesson learned analyses at main project stages, i.e. after production, at time of shipment, or after commissioning.
Compile and complete MRB, control of reports and certificates.

Qualifications:

Technical education with minimum 5 years experience in the field
Multidiscipline knowledge and understanding
Understand the interactions between industry/regulatory standards, customer requirements. Such as ASME, AWS and EN standards, - including PED.
Understand manufacturing and testing processes such as welding, NDE, skid assembly, machining and surface treatment (coating).
High degree of personal interaction needed to challenge and effectively improve current practices at suppliers and internally.
Structured - Ability to work on multiple projects in parallel.
Able to work systematically, individually and in teams, to achieve given goals.
Leading by example, being a good role model for the team and a good ambassador for Membrane Solutions, internally and externally.
Have a good cultural understanding.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbally in English, and preferably Norwegian.
