Lead and coordinate preliminary collection system, substation, and transmission design, as well as electrical civil design basis of assigned wind, PV, and BESS projects. Facilitate preliminary engineering design activities, including geotechnical, hydrology, and electrical studies. Serve as technical interface/lead with respective teams, including Development, Permitting, Interconnection, Estimating, Procurement, Resource Assessment, and Project Management teams. Manage external third-party engineering consultants. Collaborate externally and internally throughout projects in development, with consideration of EDF technical specifications and lessons learned. Support EDF team for technology review and equipment selection. Coordinate design optimization and identify cost and other improvement opportunities. Work closely with EDF Development on permitting requirements to ensure designs meet the specifications. Support EDF Developers and conduct development site visit to support site constructability. Provide technical assistance in preparing EPC contractor Requests for Proposals (RFPs). Collaborate with the project implementation team for smooth transition from development to construction and as needed during the execution phase. Coordinate engineering deliverables with EDF Transmission, EPCs, Utility, ISO, and off-taker with meeting interconnection requirements. Participate in Project review led by the Phase Leader (Project Development, Project Implementation). Attend weekly/monthly meetings associated with the Project review. Stay appraised of technology advancements and trend across PV industry OEMs (Owners Equipment Manufacturer). Execute project engineering management task for project in implementation and construction. Coordinate detailed engineering and work closely with construction team. Other duties as assigned. 20% domestic travel to field sites, expenses paid. Requires five (5) years of progressive work experience with occupations focused on renewable energy projects. Requires industry experience and demonstrated knowledge of PV, Storage, and/or Wind Technology. Requires industry experience and diversified knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and engineering principles and practices required to produce safe, efficient, reliable, easy to operate and maintain, and cost-effective designs. Requires industry experience and demonstrated proficiency with reviewing civil, structural, and/or electrical engineering design packages. Requires industry experience with: (1) Microsoft software and (2) Engineering software, including AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar power system software. Requires a U.S. Master of Science degree or foreign academic equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
