The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of construction management and project management, with a strong track record in overseeing projects as a General Contractor. This role involves managing projects ranging from $2 million to $20 million, from the initial estimating phase through to project completion and closeout. If you are a skilled professional with a comprehensive understanding of construction processes and a focus on renewal and remediation work, we encourage you to apply for this opportunity.Key Responsibilities:Project Oversight: Manage building envelope renewal and remediation projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently, within budget, and meeting quality standards.Construction Management: Apply comprehensive construction management and project management principles to lead the projects effectively.Budget Management: Take responsibility for projects ranging from $2 million to $20 million, including estimating, budget control, and cost management.Subcontractor Selection: Issue tenders and select subcontractors, ensuring that they align with project requirements and standards.Schedule Adherence: Hold subcontractors accountable for their scope of work and adherence to project schedules.Reporting: Provide regular reports to the General Manager on project progress, budget status, and any deviations from the plan.Collaboration: Work closely with Site Superintendents, the General Manager, and the Financial Controller to ensure projects are executed successfully.Requirements:Proven experience in project management with a focus on building envelope renewal and remediation projects.Strong understanding of construction management and project management principles.Ability to manage projects within the $2 million to $20 million range.Expertise in estimating, budget control, and cost management.Proficiency in issuing tenders and selecting subcontractors.Effective management of subcontractors and project schedules.Strong collaboration and communication skills, working closely with cross-functional (link removed)-depth knowledge of construction processes from start to finish.Experience in renewal and remediation work, with a focus on existing structures (no new construction).How To Apply:To apply for this position please contact the office via +1 (604) 670-4537 or Operations@afewgoodlads.com.
