EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

Candidate should have a minimum of a 4-year bachelor's degree, working knowledge of PMBOK best practices, and a minimum of 6 years hands-on experience with building project scope, goals, deliverables, and the implementation phases of software development (SDLC) or Agile Software Development. Candidate must have experience managing projects using a well-established project management methodology, such as PMBOK, PRINCE2, or Scrum, or similar methodologies. Incumbent should have expert knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, etc.), a minimum of 2 years using Microsoft Project, be able to develop project schedules with all dependencies and resource allocations using PMO standardized templates and have moderate experience with Microsoft Visio.

Under limited direction of the PMO Manager incumbent will direct and manage project development from beginning to end. Candidate will develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents in accordance with the PMO standardized templates.

Incumbent will estimate resources and participants needed to achieve project goals, perform root-cause analysis on gaps, identify waste, and work with project management to drive sustainable corrective action. Incumbent will identify and resolve issues and conflicts within project team and notify PMO Manager, internal, and external stakeholders of project dependencies and critical path concerns.

Additional tasks include planning and scheduling project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools, and developing and delivering progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.

Incumbent will facilitate the change management and deliverable management processes in parallel with vendor and project leads.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS DESIRED

1. Project Management Professional (PMO) certification preferred.

2. Working experience at the State and Federal Government level is preferred.

3. Working experience with managing vendors and managing complex projects with numerous stakeholders from multiple organizations.

4. Working experience with systems following Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) guidelines preferred.

5. Capable of prioritizing and managing assignments, tasks, and projects to completion with minimal supervision.

6. Working experience with project management software, such as Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, or Jira
