This is an exciting time to work for Amarillo College! We are seeking Full-time Project Manager Title V to manage both fiscal and programmatic reporting for the Title V Grant and establish internal timelines for reports so that administrators and grants/contracts office can review report submissions before they are sent to the funder by the report due date. This position will also manage the day-to-day operations of the grant by establishing priorities to ensure quarterly and annual objectives are met to remain compliant within funding guidelines.

*This is a grant-funded position. Continued employment is contingent on grant's funding.

GENERAL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

Required: Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, or related field.

Preferred: Masters degree in Education, Business, or related field.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Required: Three (3) years of experience in personnel and/or budget management.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the day-to-day management of the Title V grant, including planning, budgeting, and executions of grant-related activities.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all grant regulations, guidelines, and reporting requirements throughout the grant lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create and implement a comprehensive program plan, setting clear goals, objectives, and timelines.
  • Manage grant budget, monitor expenses and allocations to ensure efficient utilization of funds.
  • Prepare and submit accurate progress reports, financial reports, and other documentation required by the grant.
  • Assist with recruiting and hiring of project staff.
  • Supervise/evaluate grant related staff as needed.
  • Oversee and coordinate professional learning for technical education faculty in coordination with ACs Center for Teaching and Learning Director.
  • Ensure timely completion of tasks and activity objectives.
  • Oversee preparation of project fiscal/technical reports for U.S. Department of Education and AC.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of needs of underserved students.
  • Knowledge and skilled management of multi-year projects including project evaluation and project closeout.
  • Knowledge of grant development as it relates to current outcomes as these relate to the sustainability of grant objectives.
  • Knowledge of grant funding policies and procedures applicable to federal, state, and college regulations.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and fiscal management principles and procedures.
  • Skill in effective leadership
  • Ability to manage funding software, processes, and procedures to meet expenditure and reporting requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to interpret financial data and prepare budgets and financial grant reports.
  • Ability to be discreet with personal information that may be needed for some grants such as student personal information.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to travel between offices and buildings, and requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull and/or maneuver office supplies as needed.

Working Environment: This position operates in a professional office environment, routinely uses standard office equipment (i.e. computers, phones, copy and fax machines, filing cabinets) and is in a high traffic area with continual interruptions. Software commonly used includes Microsoft Office, Colleague, and various other educational applications. Work may also be performed outside of the office and with little to no supervision.

Salary: Amarillo College - Salary Schedules((link removed), Pay grade 13 (salary is determined by Human Resources based on education, work experience and internal comparisons).
