Project Specialist II- Up to $80,000

We are a leading global, service-based systems integrator company working with major corporations, to provide security support services.

Our company is currently seeking a talented Project Specialist II with a passion for security and customer service and a strong military background to join our team.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Salary of up to $80,000 (DOE $50,000-$80,000- based on $23-39/hr).

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Responsible for installing, programming, system start-up/check-out, certification, and related customer training on assigned Fire, Security, and/or Building Automation projects including small to large projects that vary in complexity.
  • Acts as key interface for technical support with the customer and maximizes customer satisfaction.
  • Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper) and ability to read blueprints and drawings; solid math skills (for some positions, this may include calculating area, velocity, resistance, voltage, etc.).
  • Excellent understanding of blueprints, design drawings including wiring and labeling methods, system wiring, wiring methods, and cable support installation (J-Hook, Raceway, Conduit, Cable Support).

SKILLS YOU'LL NEED

  • Solid technical skills and experience related to building automation systems, fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper) and ability to read blueprints and drawings; solid math skills.
  • Advanced computer skills including familiarity with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) and proficient in other relevant applications.
  • Certifications in Avigilon and Softwarehouse (CCTV and card access products) or fire alarm system training (there are many manufacturers, but we use Edwards (EST) would be a huge plus.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of three years of previous, relevant field experience required.
  • Previous construction experience including some level of electrical or a low voltage background.
  • Experience in one or more of the following industries preferred: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation.
