Description:
  • The Tech for Social Impact Marketing Team is seeking a creative and energetic Industry Comms Manager to lead our industry communications strategy as part of an integrated marcomms strategy, a position as the top technology partner to nonprofits, and contribute to driving awareness and demand of nonprofit offers.
  • As part of the Tech for Social Impact Marketing team, you'll embrace the company's marketing principles, drive marketing efficiency and scale, and be customer-centric. You'll be part of an integrated marketing team that supports sales to generate pipelines, accelerate deals, and delight our customers, creating brand love.
Responsibilities
  • Owns external communications strategy, execution, and reporting to support TSI's business objectives and audience needs.
  • Leverages owned news and storytelling channels, social channels, partner channels, sponsored activities, and earned channels.
  • Owns internal communication strategy and execution to ensure key teams and stakeholders across are aware of TSI's role, nonprofit wins, and the role of technology in driving nonprofit impact. Includes production of TSI newsletters and Impact Wires.
  • Develops thought leadership and storytelling opportunities by using data, insights, customer stories, and voices of our leadership to generate positive perceptions.
  • Drives alignment with Industry coms around key and industry moments and events.
  • Owns alignment with Public Affairs, Philanthropies Comms, and agencies (as needed).
  • Owns alignment and buy-in of comms strategy across TSI Leadership, Sales, Sales Enablement, Partner, and Integrated Marketing, ensuring amplification and support across all TSI.
  • Monitors, tracks, and analyzes the impact of and responses to messaging for a given issue. Creates responsive materials as needed. Engages others appropriately in responsive efforts.
  • Incorporates inclusive marketing and accessibility principles, leading practices, and tools in the execution of events.
Qualifications
  • BA in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field with 10+ years of relevant communications, public relations, marketing, and/or related work experience.
  • A team player with strong project management skills that understands core marketing principles.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience owning internal or external communication strategy.
  • Experience working with PR and marketing agencies.
  • A driven self-starter with demonstrated ability to think strategically, execute effectively, and make data-driven decisions and recommendations.
  • Passion for mission and technology solutions.
  • Experience working at a nonprofit/NGO is ideal but not required.

  • Years of Experience Required 10+ years of experience
  • Degrees or certifications required none
Best vs. Average
  • Has Previous MSFT Experience, experience developing that content, self-starter, executive presence, keeps multiple projects running, someone who is creative, working in marketing and communications is key.
Performance indicators
  • Meeting deadlines, quality of work, and feedback from others
Must-have hard skills
  • Experience with strong written and verbal comm skills/ability to take on multiple projects (10+ years).
  • Experience working with msft technology (10+ years).
  • Experience measuring and understanding marketing metrics (10+ years).
