Job Title: Purchasing Coordinator - Flooring

Are you an organized and detail-oriented professional with experience in billing and invoicing? We are seeking a motivated Purchasing Coordinator to join our team and contribute to the seamless financial operations of our projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Vendor Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with flooring material suppliers and subcontractors. Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements to ensure competitive advantage and reliable supply.
  • Order Management: Process and manage purchase orders for flooring materials, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with project requirements. Track and communicate order statuses to relevant stakeholders.
  • Inventory Control: Collaborate with warehouse and project teams to monitor and manage inventory levels. Implement efficient inventory control measures to minimize excess stock and ensure materials availability for projects.
  • Cost Analysis: Conduct cost analyses on potential and existing suppliers to identify opportunities for cost savings while maintaining quality standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of purchases, contracts, and vendor communications. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, estimators, and other departments to align purchasing activities with project timelines and requirements.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management. Experience in the construction or flooring industry is advantageous.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms and pricing from suppliers.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with purchasing software, Microsoft Office Suite, and a general understanding of procurement processes.
  • Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in order processing, documentation, and vendor communications.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers.
