Our client company is seeking an experienced manager to manage the activities of the purchasing and inventory control departments to purchase materials at the optimal price and delivery cycle while maintaining lowest possible inventory level.

You must be willing to:
Develop/implement purchasing & inventory control procedures
Set up/input purchasing software processing options
Develops/documents purchasing policies/procedures
Attend vendor meetings to discuss proposals/negotiate prices/solicit bids
Review market/price/delivery condicitions/trends to determine present/future material availability
Analyze proposals/makes decisions and/or recommendations
Prepare bid packages for market baskets
Follow safety procedures/practices
Comply with environmental regulations when using, dispensing, or handling hazardous or non-hazardous materials or waste

Requirements (IF YOU DONT HAVE THESE, DONT APPLY):
BA degree in Business Administration or similar
5 to 7 years purchasing/transportation/storeroom controls & supervisory experience
Excellent written & oral communication, negotiating, and problem solving skills
