Title: SW Engineer Python/Scala
Contract: 6+ Months on W2 (Contract to hire)
Location: Denver, CO
Job Description:
- The candidate will play a technical role creating and maintaining infrastructure to run analytic models in a production environment generating information for the enterprise. The candidate will also assist in productizing machine learning and other analytic models.
- The candidate must possess excellent analytical and technical skills coupled with the ability to quickly learn new technologies. The individual will be hands on with software development, and this individual will be a part of a team that delivers innovative solutions to complex problems while driving IT and business process refinements through agile methodology.
Specific job responsibilities will include the following:
- Develop, improve and enhance software for running analytic models in a production environment, including tools to manage model implementations and meta data, track model execution and quickly identify production issues needing manual intervention.
- Assist in productizing machine learning and other analytic models written in Spark, SQL, Python and other machine-learning technologies.
Required Skills :- Python or Scala development experience. Spark, Hadoop, or Data Engineering experience is a plus.
- Experience using modern software development practices including automated testing, code review and continuous integration.
- Minimum of 3 years in a software engineer role. Experience working with product development teams and/or with other developers
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or equivalent experience.
Minimum of three years’ experience in data science engineering role, application program development, or the equivalent in education and work experience.
