Job Title: QA Tester
Duration: 3+ Months on w2
Location: Remote
Job Description:
Summary:
The main function of a QA Tester at this level is to apply test skills at a basic level. The QA Tester will perform repeatable testing procedures and may need to be familiar with programming languages. Carries out testing methods and equipment. Runs test plans, scripts, scenarios, functional tests, regression tests, and deployment tests. Implements the testing processes and ensures all test activities follow those processes. Produces reports on each test activity and tracks test metrics.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop good quality test cases and plans
Peer review test cases and incorporate feedback
Perform manual testing on the software systems
Perform defect tracking and management
Maintain an RTM
Test and report on defects
Perform functional, regression, compatibility and smoke testing
Write SQL scripts to identify test data
Skills:
Experience with test scripts, software testing.
Comfortable using MS office tools (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)
Must have good understanding SDLC, requirements traceability and defect lifcycle.
Must have good knowledge about functional, regression, compatibility and smoke testing
Must be able to demonstrate sample test cases created during the interview
Experience with RPA or automated testing is string plus.
Must have good communication skills and be comfortable in client facing roles
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science required and some business/functional knowledge and/or industry experience preferred.
2-4 years' experience.
