Job Description
The Quality Coordinator role interacts with operations, materials, procurement, and engineering to ensure that product and material meet all specifications. (incoming material, in-process material, and finished good product). The role manages the nonconforming product process throughout the plant to ensure effective and timely correction and disposition of product.
Job Duties
Inspection and rework decisions: Conduct incoming material inspections per sampling plans (caps, shells, or other parts per plan) Monitor and resolve non-conformance and disposition bins (incoming, in-process, and finished goods) Review inspection results and last-test data to determine appropriate rework methods Prioritize and communicate rework orders to operations team leads (daily, or weekly) Ensuring compliance to quality requirements for incoming materials, product conformity, and rework/disposition Update SAP QM usage decisions to ensure accurate product disposition data/history Develop and improve instructions associated with inspections and rework Work with supervisors and team leads to coordinate quality communication workshops Quickly elevate issues that could impact customer requirements - contain suspect product for engineering or QA decisions Assist in fixing and solving quality issues Conduct process audits (targeting areas of potential risk) Flex to other work areas (as needed) to support quality improvement projects Collect information and photos to initiate concession requests PRIOR to shipments (enable customer approvals of product deviations, such as cosmetic blemishes) Provide raw material and plating certs for shipments, if required (Aerospace customers) Assist in measurement data collection support stable ops initiatives Collaborate with engineering regarding variation, defects, and ideas for improvement
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 5 years manufacturing experience - quality assurance experience a plus + Proficiency mining and interpreting data using tools and systems such as access, excel, or web aps Familiar with manufacturing materials, processes, and testing Ability to follow detailed inspection standards based on drawings or other defined requirements Familiar with basic measurement systems (lengths, weights, dimensions, tolerances, or per drawing specs) Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting demands Ability to perform and manage workloads autonomously Basic troubleshooting skills (Root Cause Analysis and Corrective/Preventive action) Excellent communication and interaction skills both verbal and written We are the worlds largest hydrogen producer with over 80 years of industrial gas experience.
