Job Summary: Manages the Quality Department and its plant functions. Manages all commercial activity within the plant.

Required Education/Experience:

A four-year technical degree or engineering degree is required.

Prior experience working in quality assurance is required. Previous supervisory experience is a plus.

Prior IATF experience

5+ years' experience in high-volume manufacturing company. Tier I automotive experience preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

Manage the Quality Department, which includes Quality Engineers, Assurance Inspectors and a Quality Assurance Supervisor.

Develop and recommend inspection and sampling techniques, quality control plans, or process control procedures that will ensure production of finished products that meet quality specifications and standards.

Maintain and assist in the development of departmental procedures, including updating and distributing manuals and other documents.

Work with the Engineering Department on old and new projects to assure proper tolerance capability.

Respond to customer complaints and rejections with corrective action.

Visit customers and suppliers when necessary to confer on specific quality issues.

Conduct research on product defects and recommend modifications in products or quality standards when warranted.

Conduct internal quality audits to ensure procedures are being followed in compliance with ISO/TS and IATF.

Perform/direct all tasks to fulfill PPAP requirements.
