JOB TITLE: Quality Assurance Engineer - 1st Shift (Aerospace Experience Required)

LOCATION: Marinette, WI

PAY RATE: $27.00 per hour.

Summary:

  • Research, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, engines, machines and mechanical systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy.

  • Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.

  • Develop, modify, and apply control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished products.

  • Collaborates with quality, engineering, planning and manufacturing organizations to ensure quality standards are in place.

  • Develop, and implement/or improve current methods and procedures for producing and inspecting precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.

  • Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment.

  • Conducts quality assurance tests.

  • Performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.

  • Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.

  • Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards, and that documentation is compliant with requirements.

  • May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, product evaluation and reliability, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.

  • May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies.

  • Acceptable candidate will work with established team to witness inspections, conduct observations and surveillances, and provide necessary oversight to LM sub-contractors to ensure they are operating in accordance with approved procedures and contractual requirements.

  • The candidate will be required to go through an "on the job" training process by LMQA team members.

Required Skills:

  • Quality inspection experience.

  • Ability to work in a construction environment.

  • Physical ability to move around the ship, climb stairs and enter smaller spaces through access points that are 15"x23".

  • Physical Verification Experience

  • Audit Experience

  • Knowledge of Safety Practices & Procedures

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Ability to follow directions to complete assigned tasks.

  • Willingness to learn.

  • Flex 40 hour a week 5 days, between 6 & 7am
