IT Concepts is seeking to hire a qualified Quality Assurance Tester (QA) to support our DOC customer. The Salesforce platform and application software development will support ITAs Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) in the delivery and maintenance of the mission-critical Salesforce platform and applications. As a QA Tester you will be part of a team helping DOC, ITA achieve mission-driven success. The ITA Salesforce deployment includes the Salesforce Service Cloud platform and several custom applications. Salesforce serves as the primary business platform for the majority of ITA users.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct unit, functional, integration and UI/UX testing (as needed) and facilitate UAT and regression testing. Ensure to document the results.
  • Provide a Test Readiness Review (TRR) package including test results, screenshots and issue log
  • Provide the Government with Quality Assurance and User Acceptance testing support for each Phase.
  • Support the updating of any test plans/results and/or functional/technical design documentation
  • Produce project documentation including test scripts and functional/technical design documents
  • Create Test Cases: Create and execute test cases while leveraging various test heuristics to validate that products are working as expected.
  • Collaborate: Collaborate with project/business teams to reproduce, analyze, and debut issues. Demonstrate ownership and accountability through self-directed task management.
  • Design Review: Review functional/operational requirements and design specifications, advise Project Management, Business Analysts, and/or Testing Leads regarding requirements and design testability
  • Automation Testing: Coordinate efforts with Automation Testing resources to determine which test cases and under what conditions automation will improve the effectiveness and efficiency of testing.
  • Participating in product increment planning and documenting test plans and scenarios in collaboration with the product owner, product analysts and engineers.
  • Creating and maintaining testing artifacts and summary reports to present the status of test cases.
  • Conducting peer reviews of test cases and test documents.
Ensure the quality of each release/deployment before production. Quality assurance activities include, but are not limited to:
  • Create software code, and automated test and build scripts to ensure adherence to established configuration and change management principles
  • Automate Integration, Regression, and User Acceptance testing
  • Leverage to the fullest extent possible Test-Driven Development, Paired Programing, and Rapid/Joint Application Development
  • Ensure fixes and unit testing meet 508 compliance
  • Ensure testing and sign-off for all configuration changes, upgrades, minor enhancements, bug fixes, etc. before migrating to production
  • Provide support for all testing including but not limited to system, end-user, beta, production-readiness, third-party penetration testing, performance and system capacity); document and track defects
  • Minimize defects, maintaining 1:10 defect/stories delivered
  • Conduct testing and quality assurance to the modified software system versions and releases
  • Conduct routine performance testing and tuning to enhance end-user experience
  • Develop and execute test plans, test scripts, test tools to minimize defects

Location: Must be in commutable distance to Washington DC HQ office for onsite visits. Most work is Remote/Telework.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology or related field
  • Experience supporting Salesforce platform and application development efforts for federal government
  • QA will have expertise in Business Analysis and User Experience Design
  • In-Depth experience with Leapwork Test Automation
  • 2+ years of experience with requirements analysis, solutioning, software testing, functional/technical design documentation, and training
    • Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum development methodologies
    • Strong ability to guide and work with cross-functional teams.
    • Experience supporting federal IT projects
    • Excellent at identifying and solving problems
    • Must be a U.S Citizen
    • Required ISTQB Certifications:
      • Test Analyst; or
      • Test Automation Engineer

Preferred:

  • Experience being part of Salesforce implementations at the Department of Commerce

Clearance:

  • Willing and able to complete Public Trust Suitability process.
