Role Description:

This position requires a candidate with experience inspecting mechanical or electronics parts & assemblies, using visual inspection methods and metrology tools, to ensure compliance to customer & internal specifications. The ideal candidate would have previous experience using coordinate measurement machines or vision measurement systems, calipers, micrometers and other devices for precision measurements of parts. He or she would be expected to display the judgment required to work with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills are necessary to engage with multiple stakeholders throughout the organization.

Responsibilities include:

  • Inspect 3D-printed parts using vision measurement system, calipers and micrometers.
  • Visually inspect parts for various appearance and structural defects, using microscopes or ring magnifiers as necessary. Good vision required.
  • Determine suitability of parts for customer shipments based on inspection results.
  • Complete inspection records and certificates of compliance.
  • Feedback nonconforming parts to Operations and Engineering teams to initiate corrective actions.
  • Prepare parts for shipment to customers.
  • Assist Operations teams with other processes upon request (mixing, printing, cleaning, debinding/sintering).
  • Assist Materials and Process team with other analytical testing upon request.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and setup vision measurement systems is a plus!

Requirements

  • Bachelors or Associate degree preferred; high school diploma required.
  • 3 5+ years applicable experience
