Job TitleR&D Program Manager Job Description In this role you are responsible for the execution of multi-sites projects working with cross-functional program teams and aligning closely with business categories. Lead projects through the full life cycle from initial concepts to release and follow-up. Be the leader for R&D project teams demonstrating milestone achievements, adherence to business plans, schedules and costs and employ PDLM processes for all program elements. Scope includes regular/rigorous function by function reviews to assure synchronization, milestone achievements, adherence to business plans, schedules, and costs. Your role:
Project planning and execution from initial concept phase to release and post release follow-up.
Leadership of R&D teams responsible for the successful execution of projects.
Drive collaboration with Business Categories, Product Managers, Operations and Customer Support representatives, Quality and Regulatory team and Program Managers.
Able to manage projects that involve both SW and HW components.
Lead the teams through project planning and execution. Establish strong operating mechanisms to track progress, identify and manage risks, overcome obstacles, and define recovery plans.
Present project status to management as required through periodic reports and formal program reviews.
Recommend and implement process improvements to ensure high quality and to drive efficiency and productivity.
You're the right fit if:
14+ years of professional experience which includes project / program management across multiple sites, and through the entire product lifecycle (Concept to Post-Release).
Good understanding of structured project management principles and ways of working in global program setting.
Understanding and affinity to work in an innovation context. Dealing with uncertainty, comfortable with Ambiguity.
Good influencing skills, conflict resolution, assertiveness, negotiation in collaboration with management.
Proven ability to influence others, facilitate agreement among stakeholders with different interests.
Demonstrated leadership skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to build relationships and effective organizational and networking skills.
Proven track record of complex and creative problem solving.
Possess excellent business judgment, and a practical, common-sense approach to getting things done.
Ability and willingness to work with teams located in different parts of the world and different time-zones.
Preferred:
Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent
Advanced degree in engineering or MBA a plus
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus
