The R&D Technician will be responsible for hands-on development work including, but not limited to, prototype to pilot manufacturing of new and novel medical devices including implantable devices and catheters. They assist with ongoing training, development, and accountability of all team members.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs development related duties as assigned by engineering.
• Read and interpret assembly and test instructions, engineering prints, and schematics.
• Operate and maintain custom testing equipment with instruction from engineering
• Execute development and/or verification device testing of devices
• Maintain accurate records, including training records, and required paperwork.
• Collaborates with engineers and other personnel to identify, define, and solve issues.
• Trains production or junior staff on test and equipment procedures.
• Understands, adheres to, and promotes safety policies and practices.
• Proficient within job related computer programs.
• Keeps area clean and organized at all times.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma and 1-3 (Tech 1), 3-5 (Tech 2), 5+ (Sr. Tech) years of related experience
• Experience testing electro-mechanical medical devices in a regulated environment.
• Ability to effectively verbally and non-verbally communicate with team members
• Proven ability to work in fast paced environment while juggling multiple competing tasks and demands.
• Strong work ethic and professional commitment
