Position: RN - Interventional Radiology

Location: San Francisco, CA

Assignment Type: 13 weeks contract

Department Description: Radiology is a specialty that uses imaging techniques, such as X-rays and ultrasound, to diagnose and treat a variety of conditions. In fact, a number of radiology advancements and applications were developed here.

Job Summary: The RN functions as a member of the interdisciplinary team caring for patients who are undergoing procedures or exams in the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at any Radiology site.

The RN carries out established nursing procedures to prepare patients prior to Radiologic procedures, during the procedure, and following the procedure. The RN assists with the management of patient care during moderate sedation and anesthesia cases.

Required Qualifications

Three years recent experience in either ICU, ED, PACU, or procedural area

Three years clinical experience

Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California

Active American Heart Association CPR Certification

Active American Heart Association ACLS Certification

Ability to wear lead apron required in Interventional Radiology and Neuro Interventional Radiology

Moderate Sedation competency required in Interventional Radiology and Neuro Interventional Radiology

The flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations

Preferred Qualifications

Certification in Radiology Imaging Nursing

Licensure/Certification

Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California
