Our new Recovery Center is a residential alternative to, and diversion from, inpatient hospitalization. We offer 24-hour walk-in outpatient services, a 23-hour observation unit, crisis residential psychiatric stabilization, and medically monitored detoxification services.

Under the supervision of the Director of Crisis and Stabilization Services, the Nurse Manager will supervise the nursing staff at our new Recovery Center in the Child & Adolescent Unit.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversees the daily operations of nursing staff.
  • Actively identifies and reports opportunities for improvement, seeks solutions, and communicates through the proper chain of command.
  • Maintains knowledge of and compliance with all current hospital and departmental policies and state, federal, and accreditation regulations.
  • Demonstrates effective utilization, planning, and organization of hospital/job resources.
  • Sets priorities and demonstrates effective organizational skills by optimizing the use of time, meeting deadlines, and completing assigned tasks in a cost-effective manner.
  • Ensures nursing staff is competent and accurate with the use of the electronic medical record program.
  • Demonstrates the ability to problem-solve at a designated level of management.
  • Identifies real and/or potential problems affecting service; discusses unresolved issues related to staff, groups, clients, and other customers.
  • Monitors utilization of the nursing process and provision of professional nursing care for patients according to established standards of care.
  • Verifies each patient has an interdisciplinary recovery plan, which is individualized, updated, and documented.
  • Monitors and verifies the above-referenced recovery plan is implemented and coordinated utilizing critical thinking and organizational skills.
  • Monitors ongoing evaluation of the effectiveness of the recovery plan and the patient's response to that care.
  • Demonstrates effective role modeling, delegation, problem-solving, and acts as a resource for the entire nursing staff.

Requirements

Qualifications, Training & Experience:

  • Requires a current, valid Georgia RN license
  • Graduate from a nationally or state-approved School of Nursing program with a Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Behavioral Health Experience with Children & Adolescents STRONGLY PREFERRED
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience REQUIRED.
  • One (1) Year of Management Experience STRONGLY PREFERRED.
  • Active BLS certification
