Progressive ophthalmic medical and surgical practice is searching for a new Nurse Supervisor while maintaining the leading edge best practices in a warm, patient-centered environment. Excellent opportunity with growth options. Working in collaboration with the manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day surgery function for the assigned facility and staff, ensuring compliance with the organization's policies, procedures, established guidelines, and applicable laws. Responsibilities can include supervision of staff, interviewing, hiring, facility orientation, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; assisting with performance reviews; participating in corrective action; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Communicate and provide direction to physicians and staff regarding changes in protocols, EHR forms, scheduling, and procedures enacted from the management level. Demonstrate initiative, insight, and judgment in all decision-making processes. - Provide care at the highest level of licensure

- Knowledge of sterile technique as it applies to operating room nursing.
- Knowledge of ophthalmic procedures to be able to anticipate the needs of the surgeon and safe positioning of patients for those procedures.
- Proper method of handling instruments, tissue specimens, cultures, and smears before, during and after use.
- Ability to anticipate needs of the operating team before such needs arise.
- Ability to adapt self to various types of personalities.
- Demonstrate a high degree of management competency; including but not limited to leadership, collaboration, negotiation, motivational and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrate excellence in communication skills demonstrated ability to convey ideas and information, verbally and in writing.
- Able and willing to achieve goals with tenacity, compassion.
- Exhibit initiative and the ability to lead a team, in a fast paced environment.
