Verves Ready to Drink (RTD) team is responsible for all Verve specialty extract products, including our signature Flash Brew line: flash-chilled brewed coffee infused with nitrogen. Through proprietary equipment and processes, we combine expertise in specialty coffee, water engineering, and coffee brewing to create these innovative, unique, and delicious products.

The RTD department is held to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and professionalism. Flash Brew Production Operators execute the RTD production process in its entirety.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

• Safety and Quality
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner, with minimum distractions
  • Follow methods and SOPs set forth by the RTD Production Manager and Production Supervisor
  • Participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings
  • Execute all quality control procedures
  • Perform extensive cleaning procedures, both manual and automated
  • Ensure that a safe and high-quality product is being produced at all times

• Production and Packaging Processes
  • Learn, understand, and execute the RTD Production Process in its entirety
  • Be on time and mindful of personal work schedule
  • Accomplish tasks in adherence to a weekly production plan
  • Follow daily operational checklists to ensure the use of clean equipment and that a clean production facility is maintained on a daily basis
  • Learn and perform all production process, from cleaning to brewing to packaging
  • Execute all processes in accordance to Verves GMPs and beverage production policies

• Inventory Management
  • Take and monitor regular inventories as set forth by the Production Manager and Production Supervisor
• Process Optimization
  • Carry out production process in a manner that achieves optimal results
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities
  • Understand and follow SOPs and other operating procedures
  • Perform assigned maintenance of equipment (i.e. cleaning, inspection, lubricate, mechanical)

• Personal Development and Fostering Team Dynamic
  • Maintain proactive attitude towards your own personal development as you are positioned to learn more about coffee as a fruit and finished RTD product, a beverage production environment, and the coffee industry at large
  • Promote team morale and efficiency on the Production Floor and in meetings

QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Basic Google Drive, Microsoft Word and Excel skills
• Good organizational, planning, and time management skills
• Ability to work well with a team
• Solid problem solving skills
• Ability to give and receive constructive feedback in any given situation
• Must have a valid CA Drivers License and ability to learn to safely operate a forklift (we will train)
• Obtain CA Food Handler Card within 30 days of hire
• Ability to perform an active job: lift up to 50lbs repeatedly, unassisted; operate a pallet jack (we will train); maneuver product hoses, kegs, and other equipment; etc
• Seeking full-time employment
• Preferably no less than 6 months of previous beverage production or coffee experience
• A formal brewing or beverage education and/or work experience is not a requirement. We will train the right person

PAY & BENEFITS

• $17.75-$19.50/hr, based on experience
