Job DescriptionJob Title: Data Scientist (R, ETL, IOT, RStudio Server, Shiny Server, Mariadb MySQL) Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated data scientist with expertise in R programming and experience in managing ETL pipelines from sensor data, RStudio Server, Shiny Server, and Mariadb RDBMS. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing data pipelines, conducting data analysis, and developing custom reports and sharing them via shiny apps. They will also be involved in managing the development work of integrating with REST APIs from sensor OEMs and dispensing machine OEMs. Overall Responsibilities: Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using R programming language, Improve UIs of existing shiny apps Develop and deploy machine learning models using classical machine learning techniques, Conduct data analysis to identify patterns and insights, Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide solutions, Collaborate with developers on github. Ability to push a change and merge the change with main branch, Maintain & Optimise databases in Mariadb SQL, Optimize Shiny apps for performance and scalability by keeping response times low, reducing data load times, and minimizing recomputations Identify and resolve issues related to data integrity, and data quality Collaborate with data engineering teams to integrate Spark and other data engineering engines into the data pipeline for improved processing efficiency and performance Monitor and analyze data pipeline performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to optimize data processing and delivery Design and implement automated tests to ensure the reliability and scalability of the data pipeline Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in data engineering, data science, and data visualization to continuously improve the performance and functionality of the data pipeline and Shiny apps. Requirements: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, statistics, or related field At least 2 years of experience in a data science or related role Expertise in R programming language and its libraries, including data.table, tidyverse, dplyr, ggplot2,shiny, bslib, shinydashboard etc. Preferably experienced in Experience with IOT sensors and devices, including data collection and integration Strong database management skills using Mariadb or similar systems Ability to develop and deploy Shiny Server applications for data visualization and reporting Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or GCP Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication and collaboration skills If you are a data scientist with a passion for ETL pipeline management, IOT sensors, RStudio Server, Shiny Server, and Mariadb, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
