Job Title: Radar Signal Processing Engineer (DSP/ML)
Location: Cambridge, MA (Onsite)
Duration: long term
Job Responsibilities:
o Develop and optimize digital signal processing algorithms for radar-based systems, with a focus on radar signal processing and background subtraction.
o Design and implement machine learning models for radar data analysis, feature extraction, and classification tasks.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
o Conduct research and stay updated with the latest advancements in radar signal processing, machine learning, and computer vision.
o Analyze and preprocess radar data to enhance signal quality, reduce noise, and extract relevant features.
o Implement and validate algorithms on embedded systems or DSP platforms, ensuring real-time performance and resource efficiency.
o Work closely with hardware engineers to optimize algorithms for specific hardware architectures and assist in system integration.
o Conduct performance evaluations and simulations to validate algorithm performance and identify areas for improvement.
o Collaborate with software engineers to integrate signal processing algorithms into software frameworks and develop user-friendly interfaces.
Key Technical Requirements
To hit the ground running, you are comfortable across the entire engineering life cycle from system design to algorithm development to system testing and optimization, leading to a successful product launch. In particular:
Proven industry experience as a DSP/ML engineer, with a focus on radar signal processing and background subtraction.
Strong knowledge of digital signal processing theory and techniques, including filtering, modulation, demodulation, and spectral analysis.
Proficiency in implementing signal processing algorithms using programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or C/C++.
Experience in machine learning techniques, such as deep learning, neural networks, statistical modeling, and data analysis.
Familiarity with radar principles, systems, and waveforms.
Expertise in background subtraction techniques and algorithms for object detection and tracking.
Solid understanding of software development methodologies and version control systems.
Experience with real-time signal processing, DSP platforms, or embedded systems is highly desirable.
Desired Skill Set
C/C++ for embedded systems (not required, but highly desirable).
Experience designing fixed-point implementations targeting FPGAs.
Proficiency in radar signal processing techniques, DSP algorithms, and entire ML lifecycle preferred
Experience with one or more of the following required: radar to image projection, image segmentation, video object detection, target detection in radar signal
Matlab/Simulink/Octave or similar tool knowledge
Programming skill set with scripting languages (e.g. Python, TCL, Perl, etc.) and Tensorflow experience
