Responsibilities:

• Design and execute statistically sound experiments in oncology & infectious disease with the purpose of building and improving technologies for entry into product development
• Remain up to date on relevant published research and commercial landscapes
• Provide project progress updates to key project stakeholders and review boards
• Based on project need - represent BD in interactions with key opinion leaders, collaborators, and potential/current customers
• May work closely with strategic marketing to uncover and prioritize customer unmet needs; develop solutions to address these needs
• Serve as subject matter expert for other programs within BDTI as needed
• Perform due diligence and assessment of external technologies

Requirements:

• Minimum Master's degree in molecular biology, bioengineering, bacteriology, virology, oncology or related biological science
• Experience requirements up to 3 years post-graduate experience in relevant scientific field
• Working knowledge of methylation specific PCR and bisulfite conversion chemistry required
• Excellent communication skills and experience working in a team environment
• Demonstrated learning agility and ability to adapt quickly to shifts in program priorities
• Research experience in handling biological samples in accordance with best biosafety practices in a BSL-2 environment
• Knowledge of and experience with automation platforms not required, but will be considered a significant advantage in addition to other requirements.
