We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Retail Associate to join our team. As a Retail Associate, your main responsibilities will revolve around handling inventory, packing and shipping orders, driving a freezer truck twice a week, reducing product shrink, interacting with customers, and managing customer pick-ups. Your exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, technological know-how, and ability to provide outstanding customer service will contribute to the success of our retail operations. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management:
    • Ensure accurate and timely inventory management by performing weekly stock counts, replenishing products, and conducting audits.
    • Utilize inventory management software to track inventory levels, identify discrepancies, and work with the appropriate manager to restock items when necessary.
    • Collaborate with the team to organize the freezer for effective utilization of shelf space.
    • Work with the appropriate manager to identify the cost of goods sold and manage an effective pricing strategy to reduce waste and minimize overhead.
  • Packing and Shipping:
    • Accurately pack and prepare orders for shipping, ensuring the inclusion of all necessary items and appropriate packaging materials.
    • Regularly track packages to ensure prompt delivery of orders, and appropriately manage any delays or issues.
    • Maintain records of shipped orders, tracking numbers, and delivery confirmations.
  • Driving Responsibilities:
    • Operate a freezer truck twice a week to transport products between locations or for customer deliveries.
    • Ensure the safe loading and unloading of goods, adhering to all traffic and safety regulations.
    • Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or repair needs.
  • Shrink Reduction:
    • Implement effective loss prevention measures to minimize product shrinkage, including monitoring for theft, damage, or mishandling.
    • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategies to reduce shrinkage and improve inventory accuracy.
  • Customer Interaction:
    • Provide excellent customer service by greeting, assisting, and addressing customer inquiries promptly and courteously.
    • Keep up with customer communications and questions.
    • Recommend products based on customer needs and preferences, ensuring a positive shopping experience in-person or online.
    • Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and escalate complex issues to the appropriate manager.
    • Process payments on invoices and orders while ensuring the highest standard of customer satisfaction.
  • Customer Pick-ups:
    • Coordinate and manage customer pick-ups, ensuring a seamless and efficient process.
    • Verify customer identification and product details during pick-up, ensuring accuracy and customer satisfaction.
    • Assist customers with loading products into their vehicles when necessary.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Proven experience in a retail or customer service role.
  • Tech savvy with working knowledge of Microsoft and PC applications.
  • Familiarity with Wordpress, Shopify, Shipstation, FedEx, UPS, a plus!
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems or point-of-sale (POS) software is a plus.
  • Ability to operate a freezer truck and handle goods safely.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects, as well as stand for extended periods.

Benefits


Applicant must be comfortable working in the barn with hay, dust and other potential allergens while processing shipments and pickups. Compensation is based on experience with room for advancement.


Benefits Included:

Salary Range: $40,000 - $50,000, depending on experience

2 Weeks Paid Vacation
