West End Center is looking to hire a part-time (about 12 hours) reading teacher immediately.

The reading teacher is responsible for teaching reading to elementary school aged children at West End Center year round in the After School Program and Summer Programs. Essential Functions: The teacher will develop lesson plans in alignment with standards of learning using the AfterSchool KidzLit program, teach reading to elementary students, and track outcomes and students’ progress and make program changes accordingly. The teacher will also consult with educational services director regarding additional needed support. The teacher collaborate with partners including Roanoke City Public Libraries.
