Primary Purpose of Position:
The Recovery Solutions Coordinator will be responsible for implementing and promoting Partners State Opioid Response (SOR) initiatives and other substance use disorder (SUD) pilots and projects. The current SOR initiative involves work with Mediation Assisted Treatment (MAT) and other recovery supports which help to foster and promote a successful recovery. This position interacts closely with a range of internal departments, providers, and stakeholders to ensure good stewardship of funds, increase use of evidence-based practices, and help raise awareness to promote recovery and reduce stigma with individuals, the community, and providers. We are seeking someone creative with innovative ideas to achieve positive outcomes for those we serve. This individual will develop a process to serve as many individuals as possible while utilizing evidence-based practices. A focus on recovery solutions is imperative as the individual in this position will work to educate and inform others on the scope of substance use disorders, EBPs to facilitate long-term recovery, and help promote community resource utilization.


Role and Responsibilities:

  • Help shape the strategic direction that promotes improved outcomes for opioid use disorder (OUD) and/or other substance use disorder (SUD) pilots and projects
  • Assist the team with OUD/SUD related initiatives and projects to meet goals and specific requirements for special allocations of OUD/SUD funding, including State Opioid Response (SOR) and Adult Substance Opioid Use Disorder (ASOUD) allocations
  • Support the company in the implementation of recovery solutions to address the opioid epidemic and reduce the number of opioid-related deaths across the Partners catchment
  • Collaborate with the data specialist and data analyst to track and monitor data
  • Promote and educate on SUD best practices of clinical care
  • Collaborate with our Chief Medical Officer, pharmacists, and nurses to identify and implement best practices to achieve whole person care
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in substance use and recovery solutions
  • Support and work with community-based prevention programs and community agencies to utilize resources that may be available for the purpose of harm reduction and prevention
  • Maintain a recovery solution focus when collaborating and helping promote population health programs
  • Serve as the recovery solutions main point of contact for SOR grant(s)
  • Complete the annual year end and mid-year State Opioid Response (SOR) reports and submit for a second level review
  • Manage the State Opioid Response (SOR) budget
  • Lead the ASOUD expert workgroup to formally address member, provider, and system needs
  • Manage the Opioid Plan "Project Reducing Harm from Opioids" Program
  • Manage the Tobacco Cessation "Living Tobacco Free" Program
  • Manage other substance use related projects and/or initiatives


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to manage a budget
  • Strong clinical knowledge of substance use disorders and effective treatment in healthcare settings
  • Knowledge and experience in researching and adapting existing and emerging clinical best practices in the treatment of opioid use disorder (OUD) and other substance use disorders
  • Interest in making data driven decisions
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to coordinate and effectively communicate with others to ensure successful recovery
  • Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting policies and procedures
  • Ability to exemplify and promote in others a positive, solution-focused attitude
  • Ability to promote effective partnerships between Partners staff, providers, and community stakeholders
  • Ability to understand and carry out complex oral and written instructions
  • Ability to work effectively with others to promote a team effort to address the needs of the members served
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office products (such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Excellent problem solving, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work effectively on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail, time management, prioritization, problem solving, adaptability, and a willingness to learn
  • Experience in working with value-based contracts and an interest in the development of VBC is preferred


Education/Experience Required:

  • Bachelors degree in a human services field
  • Two years of experience in substance use prevention and treatment including evidenced based practices
  • Two years of experience managing complex projects
  • Two years of supervisory experience


Education/Experience Preferred:

  • Masters degree and a minimum of two years of human services/healthcare experience
  • Knowledge of the opioid misuse prevention & treatment programs including evidenced based practices
  • Experience working with special allocations and state funded initiatives/grants
  • Experience managing a budget
  • LME/MCO experience
