The Town is seeking applicants for a full time Recreation and Event Program Coordinator within the Parks and Recreation Department. The rate of pay is $20.15-$27.08 per hour and is eligible for overtime.

Requirements Essential Functions - Serves as public contact for the Town's rental facilities for community center classrooms and gymnasium.
- Coordinates rental and program setups and removals.
- Assists with membership check-in and answers community center phone.
- Coordinates registrations for classes, events, memberships and handles the daily revenue classifications.
- Coordinates indoor athletic leagues.
- Maintains databases, required forms, invoices, etc., for recreation and events.
- Responds to citizen requests, questions and complaints.
- Coordinates bright sign.
- Assists with social media.
- Orders supplies and checks maintenance of community center.
- Assists with the training of Recreation and Event Attendant (s).
- Assists with planning, facilitating and evaluation of special events, programs and classes.
- Tracks performance measures for Recreation and Events, as needed.
- Supports special events and programs as assigned.
- Performs other duties and coordinates other projects as assigned.
Education and Experience Associate Degree and moderate experience working in the field of park and recreation, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor degree is preferred. Physical Requirements This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 50 pounds of force; work frequently standing, walking, sitting, speaking or hearing, using hands to finger, handle or feel, lifting and repetitive motions and occasionally requires climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, reaching with hands and arms and pushing or pulling; work has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data, using of measuring devices, operating machines, operating motor vehicles or equipment and observing general surroundings and activities; work occasionally requires exposure to outdoor weather conditions; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. business office, light traffic). Special Requirements Ability to work nights and weekends for community center coverage and programs and events as scheduled. CPR/First Aid/AED certification within one year. Valid driver's license in the State of Tennessee.
