Towne & Locke is seeking an experienced Account Executive to join our client's growing team in Glastonbury or Stamford CT(link removed) This position offers a very competitive salary plus commission, full insurance benefits, 401K, paid time off etc.

 



Principal Responsibilities:




  • Create and execute a working business plan to help achieve successful sales objectives and quotas.

  • Communicates and presents on a professional level with C-Level executives.

  • Work closely with the Team including Professional Services Practice and Inside Sales team

  • to achieve goals.

  • Develop our Client's Connecticut sales territory through networking, cold calls, appointment

  • setting, presentations, lead follow ups and on-site visitations. Heavy travel required.

  • Proven ability to close profitable sales transactions, manage complex sales cycles and

  • uncover new opportunities.



Requirements:




  • The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years direct selling experience with one or more of our major vendor partners selling into enterprise level accounts in one or more of our vertical fortes.

  • Develop relationships with Major Vendors to market & promote product lines.

  • Responsible for locating new opportunities within targeted verticals and geographical

  • territories.

  • Identify revenue opportunities within new and existing accounts.

  • Build relationships with C-Level executives and business decision makers in

  • Fortune companies.

  • Lead negotiations and overcome objections to closure.

  • Individual needs to maintain a strong knowledge of new technology initiatives and provide

  • accurate sales forecasts and reports to management in a timely and consistent manner.



Qualifications/Requirements:




  • Must be capable of developing and managing your own account base.

  • Knowledge of one or more of these specific vendor lines including; HP, Cisco Systems,

  • Dell, IBM/Lenovo, Microsoft, Network Appliance, Toshiba, NEC, Oracle, etc.

  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding corporate objectives & quotas.

  • Must possess good communication skills, be very personable, interface well with all

  • departments and represent yourself in a highly professional manner.

  • Education/Experience:

  • Successful candidate should have an Associate’s degree in a related field and / or a minimum of 5 years of related work experience in selling.

  • Must have excellent computer skills including working knowledge of MS Windows & Office.

  • Ability to quickly build a book of business is a plus.
