Regional Digital Marketing Leader Pacific



What can you expect?


An outstanding leader and digital marketer you will be a key member of the Marsh McLennan Digital Marketing Centre of Excellence (CoE) and the digital marketing lead for the region. Leading, managing and coaching a team of digital marketing specialists, you will play a critical role in informing our global digital marketing strategy via local insights and requirements and ensuring execution across the Pacific region. As a member of the Pacific marketing and communications leadership group, you will partner with the broader marketing and communications team and local business stakeholders on online governance and performance so as to drive a globally aligned consistent user experience, effective localisation, best-in class processes/workflow implementation and martech ROI through strong adoption.

You will bring the skills and discipline to set up strong operational processes plus a combination of proven strategic and executional ability, as well as strong communication instincts and skills, and the ability to advise senior leaders and stakeholders. This role provides structure to unstructured situations and with gravitas, leading discussions at multiple levels of the organisation to facilitate understanding and to engender support and forward action.

As an experienced, data-driven digital leader you are well-versed in online strategy, user experience design, content strategy, web/mobile/app analytics, multi-channel digital acquisition marketing, SEO/SEM, strategic partnerships and more. Passionate about moving digital marketing into entirely new spaces, you will remain at the forefront of martech and wider capabilities including AI technologies.

We will count on you to:



Strategy and delivery

Input into the global digital marketing strategy with CoE leadership including through strong data-driven insights and bringing the regional requirements and insights.
Direct and advise regional/country digital marketing specialists, as well as wider marketing and business colleagues on objectives, roadmap and execution, processes/workflows and martech, and in doing so ensuring alignment with global digital marketing strategy including localisation approaches.
Planning of strategic change initiatives and driving related digital adoption training and best practices.
Input into region/country target and KPI setting inc. online lead generation and e-commerce goals.


Distribution Enablement and Support

Drive with regions/country reports, as well as marketing and business colleagues, a consistent outside-in taxonomy, IA (within global framework), tagging and content performance with a core focus on experience fragments, localisation and personalisation.
Partner with CoE, drive SEO performance inc. on content development, core web vitals, etc.
Ensure robust overall site/app health management in each region/country inc. SEO, tags, CCM, accessibility, etc, as well as local execution of global processes.
Partner with Technology teams on martech implementation and adoption.
Coach/educate marketing teams on best practices to influence digital campaign planning and online experiences.


Monitoring and Reporting

Mine analytics and data sources to continuously enhance our region/country user engagement, journeys and conversion including by identifying and implementing A/B tests.
Partner with marketers on monitoring progress against regional/country objectives, targets and KPIs (inc. lead generation and ecommerce) and providing recommendations to drive improvement.
Drive the development of analytics capabilities and processes, as well as accelerating the use of analytics by marketers for insights and decision-making.


What you need to have:


Excellent strategic and executional ability, strong communication skills with the ability to confidently communicate, influence and direct multiple stakeholders including C-suite leaders and direct reports.
Ability to lead and execute multiple projects, direct reports, stakeholders, and deliverables simultaneously and a proven ability to flex own style to be both strategic and hands-on when required.
Strategy oriented, with deep expertise in business and broad knowledge of enterprise management and stand-out level of problem solving.
Proven in-depth digital marketing expertise across the buyer journey from search to conversion to authentication strategies including strong knowledge of related tactics including personalisation and best-in class execution.
Knowledgeable about core and emerging technologies that will improve continuously improve the performance of our digital client experience and digital marketing investments.
Superior analytics skills to track and measure performance and make data-driven decisions (including A/B testing).
Future minded digital marketer willing to innovate and push the boundaries to ensure digital presence that drives user experience, client engagement, and accelerates pipeline growth and sales including lead generation, conversion and ecommerce sales.
Ability to navigate a complex, matrix environment and to balance the needs to a global centre of excellence model with supporting the local team and business requirements.
Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
Appropriate Qualifications/certifications and 10+ years related experience.
