What can you expect?


An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced HR Leader to join Marsh McLennans People function. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, Pacific Region, the
Regional Director, People Services
will be a key member of the leadership team.

Your primary responsibility is to lead a team of HR Managers across the region to support our People Leaders and colleagues. You will collaborate closely with People Partners, COE and Shared Services colleagues, and other colleagues across the business to provide seamless delivery and advice. You will be a strong change agent for the function, actively driving opportunities to optimise and standardise across our businesses within the Pacific Region and with peers internationally, ensuring we have our colleagues experience front of mind in everything we do.

We will count on you to:


Establish a cohesive framework across the service areas, ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities, seamless hand offs, strong internal controls and work processes within the individual respective areas

Understand regional employee-related statutory requirements and design work processes and standards in alignment with these requirements

Provide oversight and guidance to Lead/Senior HR Managers on the implementation of enterprise-wide tools, systems, platforms and processes

Collaborate with COE leaders, HR Services leaders and People Partners to translate global and regional business and HR needs into leading practice, cost effective and high-quality HR services

Develop solutions, processes and tools that balance enterprise and business needs

Drive process excellence (identification of opportunities and delivery of solutions) through partnership with other groups (e.g. HR Services)

Lead the HR Manager team, including succession planning and development of capability

Provide oversight of planning for and implementation of the portfolio of initiatives within HR which impact People Managers


What you need to have:


Previous experience in a leadership role in HR, including responsibility for implementing business improvement programs

Experience leading teams delivering services, across multiple locations and time zones, ideally in an Operations environment

Knowledge and experience of operating in the relevant regulatory/statutory environments and markets

Experience in roles working with external organisations (e.g. regulators, unions)

Passion for delivering excellence through collaborating and working in partnership with others

Relentless focus on business priorities and opportunities to create enhanced value and improved outcomes

Sound understanding of the contribution this role makes to the quality of people management across the region and therefore the colleague experience
