Social Behavior Learning Solutions provides In-Home and Center Based Applied Behavioral Analysis(ABA) services to children and adolescence 1-15 years of age diagnosed with Autism, Intellectual and/or Developmental disabilities. We are currently recruiting a Registered Behavior Technician in/around Union City, NJ (Hudson County).

 

Scheduling: 

· Availability REQUIRED Mondays through Fridays (9am-3pm)

· Part-Time w/ Full-Time possibility

 

Responsibilities of the Job:

· Participate in a training program that provides instruction on ABA, discrete trial teaching techniques, management of maladaptive behaviors, child development and data collection techniques applicable to the client population.

· Study patient behavior and apply ABA principles

· Implement 1:1 behavioral intervention programs to children with autism in their homes, permitted facilities or center based.

· Utilize key communication skills to provide effective feedback to clients parents/guardians

· Effectively communicate positive and transparent feedback to clients parents/guardians

· Be able to recognize and respond to critical improvements in clients behaviors.

· Become familiar with and use behavioral redirection techniques

· Receive supervision and feedback from assigned BCBA, for each client they work with.

· Observe and record child's behaviors through data input into excel and log hours and data accurately.

· Communicate with supervisory staff and other team members daily via email, phone and text.

 

Requirements of the job: 

· Must be currently working in the mental health field

· 1-2 years of ABA experience with children diagnosed with Autism or other disabilities.

· Strong communication skills required

· Ability to work under high-stress situations

· Demonstrates autonomy, integrity, and organization

· Positive and satisfactory responses of professional references

· Approved clearance of criminal background and driving record check

· Must have a reliable vehicle.

 

Education requirements:

· Preferred Bachelor’s degree in related field

· RBT Required – Registered Behavior Technician
