A little more about what an RBT is: A Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) assists in the implementation of individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment plans developed by our Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to children and adults who have been diagnosed with a variety of disorders such as communication, language, behavioral, mental and developmental disorders. RBTs will be required to communicate effectively with clients and their families, assist clients with their day to day activities, implement individualized treatment plans and skill acquisitions, collect, record and summarize data (per session) to monitor clients behaviors and academic progress (in home or in center), maintain client confidentiality, utilize safe and appropriate handling procedures with clients, and participate in team meetings, trainings, or workshops. Areas of focus will include the following skills: social, communication, independence, personal hygiene, daily living, and fine and gross motor skills. Candidates must be able to work in a fun, positive, fast-paced and often intense working environment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training arrangements Follow the prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols Follow and record data for prescribed toilet training protocols Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior Provide regular written and verbal progress updates on treatment goals Assist with parent and caregiver training in line with clients individualized treatment and behavior reduction protocols Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by the BCBA Utilize safe and appropriate handling procedures when working with clients Strictly maintain client confidentiality Assist Lead Behavioral Technician, Behavior Analysts, and ABA Interns with skill acquisition and behavior reduction assessments Assist Program Coordinator, Behavior Analysts, and BCBA Candidates in preparing client materials as instructed Provide and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment for our clients and their families Collaborate with treatment team including client, parents and caregivers, outside professionals, Program Coordinator, BCBA Candidates, and co-workers Maintain and acquire technical knowledge by attending required trainings Must be in good physical condition (i.e. ability to sit, stand, kneel, crawl, bend, twist, squat, reach above head, run, or walk for long periods of time, and lift up to 60lbs) Requirements REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) Certification or able to obtain one Able to pass a Competency Assessment for certification Complete 40 hours of on-the-job training for certification Be a kind human.
