Sign-On Bonus $15,000 RN with 5 or more years experience

Sign-On Bonus $14,000 RN New Grad or RN with less than 5 years experience

Relocation $2,500 out-of-state/$2,000 in-state (at least 100 miles)

Salary $23-$40.00 per hr dependent upon experience.

Shift: AM (7a-7p)/ PM (7p-7a)

Education/Licensure:

•  Minimum College Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing. BSN is preferred, but will accept ADN (link removed)>
  
•  Current licensure in the state of Texas as a Registered Nurse or compact licensure required


•  CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) Preferred


•  Current ACLS/BLS required.

Experience:

•  Minimum of three years clinical experience in Acute Care- Medical Telemetry and/or ICU RN preferred.


• Department/Shift Information:


•  12 bed unit, 1 to 2 patient ratio


•  Full time nurse tech not available for all shifts.


•  Types of cases: Medical/Surgical, STEMI, and Telemetry.


•  3 / 4 shift rotation


•  Can be placed on call if census is low.


•  Software: Medhost


•  8-12 week orientation

The staff nurse uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate highest quality nursing care. As a patient advocate, he/she coordinates the care of the patient through collaboration and appropriate delegation. The nurse provides age-specific care and teaching to selected patient populations. He/she monitors and recognizes changes in physiologic status, takes appropriate action based on assessment, and evaluates and documents findings and patient response.
