Registered Nurse (RN) ICU- Permanent

Sign-On Bonus: up to $20K based on strength of experience

Relocation: up to $10K  (can go higher if needed)

Pay range: $30 to $38 per hr

Need: Day and Night Shifts --- 12 hour shifts -- 7a to p & 7p to 7a, NIGHT SHIFT PRIORITY

Hospital has a brand new 30 bed ICU which just opened on May 1st. We do everything except Neurosurgery at the moment. We expect to have Neurosurgery on 2020.

We especially need experienced nurses that can manage patients on the ventilator and open heart patients.



Education:

Completion of a college or hospital based school of nursing as evidenced by licensure in the State of Texas by BNE or compact agreement.

Orientation and training will be provided that is specific to ICU until able to function independently and demonstrates proficiency in basic skills.

Licenses/Certifications:

Current Texas Licensure to practice professional nursing.

Current BCLS certification or obtained during the first week of orientation

ACLS within first year in ICU.

Experience: 

Knowledgeable in basic nursing skills.

Proficient in drug types, interactions and reference materials.

Knowledgeable to give medications and perform duties of a RN.

Specific knowledge of medical terminology to be able to understand carry out physician orders.

Specific knowledge of the basic principles of the nursing field and their applications to be able to understand and carry out the duties of a staff nurse.

General knowledge of arithmetic, spelling, and grammar to be able to do drug calculations and properly document patient care.

Specific knowledge of nursing principles and patient care procedures in order to communicate properly with patients, staff, and physicians. 

General knowledge assure physician orders are carried out effectively.
