TITLE: Labor and Delivery RN

SHIFT: Varied, weekends +call

LOCATION: Salinas, CA

REQUIREMENTS:

• ASN or BSN Degree, Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Active California RN license or COMPACT or Willing to obtain upon hire
• 2+ years of experience in L&D
• BLS (AHA only)
• ACLS (AHA only)
• NRP
• Fetal Monitoring course

Preferred

• Experience in circulating surgical cases (Cesarean sections, BTLs)
• Experience in Post Op or PACU
• Experience in MIU, NICU, Peds and Nursey
• Meditech experience

DESCRIPTION:

• Caring for Antepartum, Intrapartum and Postpartum mothers and newborns. Circulate Surgical Cases (Cesarean sections, BTLs) in OR and PACU Recovery. Triage, Admission and Deliveries
• Electronic Documentation: Meditech. Fetal Surveillance: OBIX. Medication: PYXIS
• Care for patients and their families antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum
• Circulating in the OR
• Recovering patients post C/S or vaginal delivery
• Caring for a newborn immediately after birth
• OB staff may float to NICU and Post-partum.
• 8 Labor rooms, 2 Triage rooms (with ability to deliver), 2 operating suites, 2 bed PACU and a 4 room antenatal testing
