Job Title: Registered Nurse, MedSurg

Location: Utica, NY

Blended Rate: $75 per hour | $2700 weekly

Shift: 3x12s - 36hrs/wk - Nights

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic MedSurg team in Utica, NY. In this role, you will provide exceptional quality patient care, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for assigned patients. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with patients, their families, and the healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

• - Assess patients' medical conditions accurately, observing and documenting signs, symptoms, and pertinent information.
• - Develop individualized care plans based on patient assessments, incorporating current evidence-based practices.
• - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to safety protocols.
• - Perform routine and specialized nursing procedures, including wound care, IV therapy, catheter insertion, and monitoring vital signs.
• - Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to coordinate patient care, address concerns, and provide appropriate interventions.
• - Educate patients and their families on self-care techniques, medications, and follow-up care.
• - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• - Actively participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives, contributing to the overall enhancement of patient care outcomes.
• - Serve as a patient advocate, promoting holistic care and ensuring patient satisfaction.
• - Continuously update knowledge and skills through professional development activities and staying abreast of best practices in MedSurg nursing.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• - Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of New York.
• - Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical nursing.
• - Strong knowledge and understanding of MedSurg nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
• - Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• - Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, while still delivering compassionate care.
• - Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• - Proficient computer skills to accurately document patient information in electronic medical records systems.
