PRN Defined:Work minimum of one shift per two week pay period to assist with staffing for coverage of absences for staff planned/unplanned and/or increase in census. The more you are available the more you can work if shifts are available.

Clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Weekend Clinic hours are 8 a.m. Noon.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) you will have the opportunity to use your nursing care experience in a uniquely impactful way. You will provide quality individualized preventive, supportive wound care to each patient. You will be joining a collaborative team that values extraordinary patient care and dedication to one another.

In this role:

  • You will serve as a clinical resource for the nursing staff and health care providers to assist with planning strategy of wound care either pre or post operatively or ongoing.
  • You will ensure appropriate resource management and develop a safe and appropriate discharge plan in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • You will be responsible to include direct nursing intervention provided to a variety of age populations and diagnostic categories, based on the physician developed plan of care and established priorities for wound care issues.
  • You will coordinate activities that promote quality outcomes and patient throughput while supporting a balance of optimal care and appropriate resource utilization.
  • You will identify potential cause(s) of delayed wound healing.
  • You will review medication and provides patient education, pain medication administration per physician order, accurately assess the pain levels and effects of administered pain medications.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Registered Nurse
  • Associate Degree
  • Employment of 1 year or more of experience
  • Past Wound Care Experience Preferred
