RN - Critical Care - Sioux Falls
Length of Assignment: 8 Weeks
Shift:
- Day/Night Rotating.
- 12 HR D/N; 36 HR with every other weekend and holiday.
- The employee will not work alone, however is required to be on call if census dictates, weekends are required.
Required Experience:
- Prior critical care experience.
- Hemodynamic monitoring, vasoactive medication titration, management of ventilated patietns, recovery for procedures/surgicals, conscious sedation.
Required Licensure/Certification:
Equipment utilized in the unit/dept:
Avea vents, Philips monitors, Hospira pums, EPIC based EMR, Artic Sun, Datascope IABP
Floating to over units/departments:
Would prefer willingness to float to other department with orientation based on their skill sets
Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept:
39 icu beds in three locations (CC2 - 12 beds, CC3 - 15 beds, CCW - 12 beds)
Nurse to patient ratio of this unit:
1:2 primarily with some 1:1 with higher acuity and 1:3 when holding overflow or patient trasfer status
Job Summary:
General nursing orientation via CLI, computer based training and test outs for competency, EMR training, department specific training based on assessment of need and preceptor shifts
