Responsibilities: - Location: Surgical Services Float to all Surgical Specialties at Rochester Methodist Campus and Saint Marys Campus. - We welcome experienced nurses and new graduates. - New graduate nurses are automatically enrolled in the Nurse Residency Program, which provides extensive orientation and support. - The registered nurse (RN) is accountable for coordinating nursing care, including direct patient care, patient and family education, and transitions of care. - The RN will work within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, following the ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice. - Responsibilities may include leadership roles, quality improvement efforts, mentoring, teaching, and participation in committees or projects. - Some positions may require driving a personal vehicle. Qualifications: - Must be a student or graduate of an accredited nursing program. - If the nursing program was not accredited, at least one year of RN experience is required. - Entry-level associate degree registered nurses must complete a baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited program within five years. - One year of RN experience in an applicable care setting or one year of current LPN experience at Mayo Clinic is preferred. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. - Experience working in a team environment and computer skills. - Flexibility to work various hours, including days, evenings, nights, holidays, weekends, and on-call. - Strong leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. License or Certification: - Current RN license required. - Basic Cardiac Life Support for healthcare providers (BCLS) certification required within 3 months of start date. Compensation and Benefits: - Hourly rate range: $37.20 - $59.29. - Full-time position with 64-80 hours/pay period. - Monday Friday schedule with a variety of 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts. - No weekends, holidays, or on-call duty.
