RN - Oncology - Bismarck, ND
Length of Assignment: 8 Weeks
Shift:
- Day/Night Rotating
- 12 hour shifts Days are 6:30 AM - 7 PM and Nights are 6:30 PM to 7 AM.
- Will NOT work alone, Call is only required when Census is dependent on it.
- Weekends are required (not every weekend)
Floating:
- Floating may be required depending on census.
- Will float to other Med Surg Sister units.
- If the candidate is comfortable, they can float to the Infusion Center.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 2 years experience.
- Infusion Therapy experience.
- Willing to float to other Med Surg units
- Willing to work weekends.
- Strong Med Surg RNs will also be considered who feel comfortable to work in an oncology unit, so certification is not required.
License/Certifications:
- Active ND or Compact License
- BLS
General Duties:
- Med Surg Nursing, Adult population, Infusion Therapy.
Equipment:
EMR going EPIC. McKesson and Centricity, Pyxis, PCA pumps, CADD pumps.
Bed Size:
19 beds - Single Rooms
Patient Ratio:
1:5
Dress Code:
Blue uniform. ID Badge
Summary:
Work along with another RN preceptor for a few shifts. Skills Labs - pumps, infusion controls, safe patient movement and codes.
