Ohio REALTORS is seeking an Accounting Manager to be responsible for assisting with all daily financial activities in the Internal Operations Department, including the daily processing of non-dues income, staff reimbursement requests, and other routine financial responsibilities.


We are in search of an analytical, organized, results-oriented individual with a strong attention to detail to report directly to the Director of Financial Operations. Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing daily deposit batches and monthly balancing for general ledger entry
  • Transmitting deposits, either remotely or in person, to financial institutions
  • Processing and sending all invoice requests received from the staff and membership
  • Following up with vendors to verify payment is received in a timely manner
  • Assisting the Director, Financial Operations with the Associations accounts payable process, including processing payments and/or filing as needed
  • Processing all staff reimbursement requests and creating journal entries
  • Preparing monthly reconciliations for deposits and expenditures from assessments collected with dues
  • Assisting with the preparation of the annual Operating Budget and Audit
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the CEO and VP, Internal Operations
  • Respecting the confidentiality of privileged information entrusted or known by virtue of the position
  • Assisting with all daily financial activities, including the daily processing of non-dues income, staff reimbursement requests, and other routine financial responsibilities
  • Reviewing all event registrations and providing necessary assistance to member registrants
  • Staffing the On-Site Registration Desk at the Associations meetings
  • Developing and supervising registration procedures, creating new on-site registrations, and name badges, and processing payments
  • Working with the Director of Online Communications & Sponsorships to ensure that all sponsorships and advertising contracts are invoiced, and payments are received
  • Providing creative solutions/ideas and coordinating projects as requested



Knowledge and skills required:

  • Microsoft Office
  • Verbal and Written Communication
  • Problem-Solving
  • Business Central (Microsoft Dynamics)- or other Accounting Software
  • PowerBi a plus
  • Financial statement preparation/budget preparation



Experience:

We are looking for an individual with 3+ years of experience in an office setting, assisting in the creation and coordination of a budget, data entry, and financial analysis. A proven track record of bookkeeping experience, accounts payable/receivable, or general accounting is a must. Assisting with audit prep work and payroll experience is not required, but a plus!



Education:

  • Bachelors Degree- Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field is required
  • Microsoft Certification is a plus



Salary and Benefits:

The salary range is $60,000-$70,000 yearly depending on experience. The compensation package includes a 401(k) with match and Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance and a hybrid schedule, 37.5 hours per week with flex-start and end times.
