This is a contract remote role for an Area Representative at ASSE International, Inc. The Area Representative will be responsible for providing support to exchange students and host families, maintaining relationships with schools and overseeing program logistics, and recruitment and orientation of new host families and students interested in our outbound program. Compensation varies dependent upon placements. There is also potential for bonuses.
Duties:
- Recruit and select host families within the designated area
- Match international students with suitable host families
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to host families and students throughout the program
- Conduct regular check-ins and evaluations to ensure program compliance and student well-being
- Organize and coordinate cultural activities and events for students and host families
- Facilitate communication between students, host families, and the organization
- Resolve any conflicts or issues that may arise during the program

ASSE accommodates more than 30,000 high school age students and host families in its programs in participating countries. The company was established in 1976 to organize student exchange programs between Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland. Since then, ASSE has grown to include several other countries around the world. Students receiving scholarships come from the FLEX program, YES program, CBYX program, Spanish Scholarship program and Taiwanese Scholarship program to name a few.
Requirements
Skills:
- Strong recruiting skills to identify and attract potential host families
- Excellent volunteer management abilities to effectively engage and support host families
- Ability to educate and provide guidance to both students and host families on program expectations and cultural exchange
- Background in social work or related field is a plus
- Experience working with students or in an educational setting is a plus
