Attadale is looking for a Customer Insight Leader to design, execute, analyze, and interpret consumer research to uncover insights that will inform growth strategy, innovation, brand repositioning, operational improvement or other types of projects for client. Our insights work is a critical part of how we partner with clients to uncover new sources of competitive advantage and value for their business.

The ideal candidate will be intellectually curious and inquisitive with a genuine passion for problem solving. A strong service orientation, demonstrated quantitative and analytical abilities, excellent interpersonal skills, leadership experience, and the ability to think quickly on ones feet are valued. This newly formed role for an experienced team member is an exciting opportunity reporting to senior leadership, and represents the next career transition for a motivated applicant.

What do we want you to do?

The new candidate will have the ability to define this role to drive Attadales and their own success. However, there are expectations you will serve as a senior advisor for Attadale and for our clients. You will use your deep and unique expertise leveraging quantitative research as a strategic asset but to also drive sales activities and thought leadership. As a team leader you will prepare and publish insightful and compelling topics at seminars, conferences, or other forums to promote both increased visibility and awareness of our capabilities to generate new business. You will be responsible for recruiting, developing, and mentoring staff to grow the practice and create opportunities for the next generation of leaders. You will directly grow Attadales practice and coordinate with other disciplines such as operations, data analytics, and digital transformation. A summary of key skills and expectations includes:

Command the Market: Your thought leadership and expertise leads Attadales go-to-market activities and prioritizes the internal capabilities to support these initiatives. You will research, author or co-author articles, whitepapers, or presentations, secure public speaking roles at conferences, universities, or other forums to promote Attadales capabilities, expand our market presence, and brand.

Grow the Practice: Identify and close new clients, introduce expertise to existing clients, and partner to expand relationships with other practice leads. You will participate in sales pursuits as a pursuit lead or subject matter advisor. You will accurately scope projects including team size, skills, and appropriate pricing that balances value to clients while meeting Firm goals. You will successfully position Attadale as the preferred market research and insghts partner, and will maintain relationships long after the initial engagement to help grow the account across all of Attadales offerings.

Deliver Results: As Practice leader, your success is equally driven by growth and exceptional client success. Your engagement accurately scope and solve our clients business problems leveraging research and insghts and the full capabilities of Attadales offerings such as operational improvement, cloud solutions, data analytics, machine learning, and digital transformation. The Attadale team will rally to support you and you will proactively support them. Attadale lives by the priority of Client, Attadale, Consultant we always, without exception, do what is right for our clients. While your engagements may have dedicated managers, you will monitor progress, maintain quality, and ensure client satisfaction.

Serve Clients: Clients proactively seek you as a senior advisor supported by your market presence, references, and client success. You do not want a transactional relationship, and will build long term, lasting relationships and expand Attadales presence with senior client executives.

Develop Staff: Build the best research and insights team in the market, including survey architects, analysts, account managers, and thought leaders necessary to command the market and beat the competition.

Requirements

How do we know you are ready?

You have already demonstrated your ability to develop clients, capabilities, and staff. You are currently a account manager, team lead, or ready to be one based on:

  • Minimum 7+ years of industry and/or consulting experience, with a focus on consumer research, product management, or quantitative analytics and insight generation (ideally in a marketing or consumer experience organization)
  • Demonstrated experience using quantitative and analytical skills to generate insights that inform business strategy. Mastery of Excel required; familiarity with tools such as Alchemer, Power BI, or similar tools is a plus.
  • Familiarity with performing data analysis, producing quantitative modeling, and interpreting data through a business and economic lens to create commercial recommendations.
  • Outstanding presentation development and presentation delivery skills, supported by professional writing capabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience beating a business development quota and leading business development pursuits end-to-end
  • Live in Chicago with the ability to travel domestically up to 50% as necessary to support teams and clients
  • Bachelor's degree in social science, statistics, data visualization, or other quantitative research-related field
  • Are a US Citizen, Green card, or other authorized status. H-1B or other status requiring sponsorship is not available for this role.

What else would we like to have (but not required to be successful)

  • Operating in a research/analytics/insights role for a major custom research firm (e.g., Ipsos, Qualtrics), or in an analytics/research role for a major data company (e.g., Nielsen, IRI)
  • Working in a blue chip consumer products organization at the brand or category level (e.g., Procter & Gamble, Unilever)
  • Working as a consultant or consumer research/insight specialist for one of the large or specialized consulting firms
  • Demonstrated expertise across a wide range of research topics (e.g., pricing, branding, growth), survey data analysis, and quantitative methodologies (e.g., conjoint analysis, segmentation techniques, drivers analyses)
  • Experience with customer journey mapping (including pain point identification and customer touch-point analysis), particularly as it relates to journey improvement and digitization
  • Sufficient knowledge and experience with qualitative research, an understanding of customer pathways, and knowledge of digital platforms is a plus

Base salary and bonus will be collaboratively developed based on skills, experience, and business goals.
