We are looking for a Family Engagement Specialist to join our team! As a Family Engagement Specialist, you will be responsible for facilitating family meetings, providing in-home support to prevent children from coming into DCF custody, coaching families to have safe and nurturing time with their children who are placed in DCF custody, and reaching out to extended family members to garner support. We are searching for candidates who understand the complex issues facing families including addiction, substance abuse, domestic violence and generational poverty. Extensive training is provided.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field required
• Two years of experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills
• Valid drivers license, reliable transportation with auto insurance that meets our coverage requirements
• Cover letter requested

Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week. Hours are typically between 9 AM 5 PM however we do ask for availability two evenings a week, in order to accommodate families' schedules.
Compensation: $40,568 / year
