Position : JAVA SOLUTION ARCHITECT
Location : Remote -Some travel at Miramar, Florida or Dallas Texas
Duration : 1+Year Contract
Skill Set:
Java / J2ee, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Any public cloud experience (Azure, GCP, AWS), Microservices, Event driven solutions & design (Kafka / RabbitMQ / SQS etc.,), NOSQL, SQL
job description:
Design high level and low- level design for services using microservices architecture
Recommend tools, plugins and library as part of services design
Ability to use various java design patterns and architecture patterns for the solution
Provide solution & framework for common frameworks to be used across team
Sound knowledge on API's, Integrations
Design scalable event driven architecture using messaging platforms
Ability to code using Java/J2ee, develop proof of concepts, evaluate tools and products
Work with Enterprise Architecture team to propose design solutions as part of ARB
Guide development teams on technology solutions and bottleneck
Define standards, naming conventions and review the solution
Strong knowledge on Dev. Ops process, automation and hands-on on developing Dev. Ops automation pipelines using tools like Jenkins / GitHub or similar tools
Duties and Responsibilities
Deliver appropriate solutions across application or infrastructure platforms
Assist Enterprise Architects in defining enterprise vison
Define and enforce application development standards across the enterprise
Ensure solutions designed adhere to enterprise architecture standards
Stay up to date on platform, infrastructure/application development technologies and capabilities
Expert in application development, database design, and/or platform (operating system) efforts,
helping project teams comply with enterprise policies, industry regulations, and best practices
Work with Enterprise Architects to ensure solutions are in place throughout all IT systems and
platforms to mitigate identified risks sufficiently, and to meet business objectives and regulatory
requirements
Communicate risks and solutions to cross functional key stakeholders
Research, design, and advocate new technologies, architectures, and products that will support
business and IT requirements for the enterprise and its customers, business partners, and vendors
Evaluate and develop application level architectures for application development
Develop, in concert with Application Architects a reliable, top performing and cost-effective platform
architecture
Lead the development and maintenance of the [platform strategy and architecture
Organize the development effort
Provide motivation and guidance to the entire development team during the systems development life
cycle
Responsible for the vision that underlies the solution and the execution of that vision into the solution
Looks after the programming, integration, and testing of software systems and associated devices
Select the most appropriate technology for a problem, and involve balancing architectural concerns of
the project with the concerns of the enterprise
Responsible for:
o how technology can be used to solve a given business problem
o which framework, platform, or tech-stack can be used to create a solution
o how the application will look, what the modules will be, and how they interact with each other
o how things will scale for the future and how they will be maintained
o figuring out the risk in third-party frameworks/platforms
o finding a solution to a business problem
the sustainability of a solution
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
10 or more years of work experience in IT, with a broad exposure to different platforms and
technologies
Expert knowledge of solution/application development issues, techniques, and implications across
one or more platforms
Broad experience with and exposure to multiple platform environments to enable the proper
perspective and ability to design application or infrastructure solutions at an enterprise level
Strong attention to detail
Ability to analyze and solve problems
Strong team player who can work across multiple functions and disciplines
Executive level people and process skills
Can explain to senior executives a complex problem in laymen's terms
