Senior Linux Administrator with Ansible Baltimore, MD, On -site (Remote Temporarily) Description of Work: Linux Administration, Ansible, AWS Cloud Support the Linux environment for the database team. Development of user documentation and guidelines. Development of presentation material. Investigate, collaborate, and resolve production jobs and job failures. Support weekend maintenance activities to apply changes during non-peak hours. Provide input to continuous improvement of Linux Administration and Support. All other duties as assigned or directed. Basic Qualifications: Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities needed. Bachelors degree in computer science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field 7+ years of experience with Linux Administration Masters or Doctorate degree may substitute for required experience. Excellent communication and written skills. Proficiency in Linux Patching/upgrading. Proficiency with Linux commands and shell scripting Proficiency with Linux troubleshooting Proficiency with Ansible and Ansible Tower Proficiency in High Availability and Disaster Recovery Proficiency in Linux Performance Tuning Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration. Solid working knowledge of AWS Experience supporting databases running on Linux. Experience with working with Federal Government clients.
